Reflections On London Craft Week
Three months ago, I organised a solo exhibition of my new tapestries, as part of London Craft Week. I’ve been involved in London Craft Week in some form or another almost every year for the last six years, whether through group shows, demonstrations, open studios or showing my work in the window of a glasses shop.
I have a post in the works about my most recent experience, but here I want to talk about London Craft Week more generally. What is its focus? What are its aims? And how could it better serve the artists and makers that take part?
