At work on my oldest loom - a Danish countermarch loom from the 1940s

Last week it was too hot to weave in my little conservatory studio, so I spent some time working on my 80-year-old Lervad loom instead. I’ve been weaving these long vertical strips that I plan to frame some earlier tapestries with (more on that in a future post.)

This is a very repetitive process that doesn’t require too much concentration, so I also spent the week watching series 1 - 3 of Atlanta and a 7 hour Youtube video about the backstory of a problematic Christian influencer couple. (This sentence probably tells you everything you need to know about me as an individual.)

In the middle of weaving these strips, I decided to start on a new tapestry to fill up some space on the warp. I used the cardboard template I made for this tapestry 👇🏻 to make a new template and weave a new design.
